MISSION
PCTC is dedicated to strengthening the legacy of the American Theatre
with dynamic and essential programming
that examines the influences of the past on the present and future of our art form.
VISION
To honor the past and examine how it has shaped us, we program one main stage production of a classic or new classic work each year (the Past), which serves as a thematic through line for the season. To foster the emerging artists of our time, we program one main stage production each season of a deserving- but-under-produced contemporary play (the Present). To create future audiences and artists, and to extend the reach of the theatre to a wider demographic, we program free arts camps for underserved youth in New York City through
our Little Creatures Act Out initiative (the Future).
